These Content Guidelines (“Guidelines”), which are incorporated by this reference into the General Vendor Terms, govern the use of our Sites, Services and Content by What Next, its Content Partners and all Vendors.

These Guidelines apply to the submission of Directory Listings and Sponsored Content.

Directory Listings are profiles of Vendors’ software, data products or services (including vendor name & logo, product name & description, screenshots) created by What next or Vendor and featured in our Directory.

Sponsored Content is created by Vendors and published on our Sites, and may include blog articles, reports, white papers, case studies, infographics, online courses or sections of e-books.

SPONSORED CONTENT:

Promoted Article Guidelines

Featured Listings include the option to submit Promoted Articles.

When considering an article for submission, it is important to bear in mind that readers on our Sites are at different stages of the buying funnel. Some are in the early phase of educating themselves about a capability; others are actively short-listing potential vendors.

Promoted Articles should therefore aim to appeal to the broadest cross-section of this audience. Examples of appropriate content can be read on the Insight Platforms Blog.

Ensure that:

  • Tone and content are appropriately objective and educational.
  • There are practical learning outcomes where possible, in particular for ‘Tips & Guides’ content.
  • Articles are easy to read with sub-headings, images and short sections of text.
  • Content is easily shareable to Linkedin and Twitter.

Avoid:

  • Hyperbolic ‘sales’ language in product descriptions (e.g. World’s Leading, Unrivalled, Unparalleled).
  • Offensive, obscene or defamatory language.
  • Personally identifiable information (individuals’ names, email address, phone number).
  • Excessive capitalisation; repeated or unnecessary punctuation marks.
  • Disparaging descriptions of or comments about alternative solutions.
  • The use of obscure jargon, acronyms or descriptions that are heavily technical and assume a high degree of expert knowledge on the part of the reader.

VIRTUAL SUMMITS:

Presentation Guidelines:

Virtual Summits are educational events which aim to provide tangible learning outcomes for attendees. Presentations must deliver on this promise.

Sponsors presentations must use the Insight Platforms template to ensure consistency in the attendee experience. The design will allow for  co-branding and prominent placement of the sponsor's logo.

Ensure that:

  • Tone and content are appropriately objective and educational.
  • Content includes how-to material in the form of explainers, guidelines, tips, checklists, case studies or other pragmatic content that attendees can apply in their own work.
  • All commercial rights to third party image or video content have been secured.

Avoid:

  • Sharing commercially sensitive material.
  • Hyperbolic ‘sales’ language when referring to your own products or services.
  • Offensive, obscene or defamatory language.
